I love reading books, and I also love talking about books which is the main reason why I have started blogging about them. I want to engage with other readers, to find out what they are reading and their thoughts on it, as well as helping other readers to find new books or undiscovered classics that they might not have come across before. I am always on the lookout for new books and authors so please send suggestions my way!

I am not a professional book reviewer, I do it for fun, and I try to make my reviews more than just a blurb. I often talk about my personal relation to a book, how I became aware of it, when or even where I read it, and of course, whether or not I enjoyed it. I hope that these posts will be read as more than just book reviews but also as an insight into one book lover’s reading habits and life.

I mainly read literary fiction but I also enjoy short stories, poetry and Young Adult. I come from Scotland so I have a special attachment to Scottish literature but I really enjoy writing from all over the world, so Translated Fiction is also a favourite.
